1 of 1 people found the following review helpful  I was expecting more out of these, September 12, 2012 This review is from: Everlast 12-Ounce Pro Style Muay Thai Gloves (Sports) I'd always been under the impression that Everlast was a top-of-the-line brand when it came to boxing gear, but this pair of gloves has reversed that opinion. First, as another reviewer mentioned, the gloves are actually misrepresented in the picture; the interior lining is actually a red mesh which, although aesthetically pleasing, seemed to diminish the durability of the glove. I found rips along the palm and inside the thumb after only two months of merely moderate Thai boxing practice. The padding in the knuckles also seemed inadequate for the level I practiced at. Granted, 12-oz gloves could be considered small for a 5'7" guy like myself, but the loose wrist closure and soft knuckle padding led to a minor wrist sprain I'm still nursing, so be warned. In summary, I might recommend these for a very short/light person, but not for anyone over 150 lbs who's serious about boxing. NOT as picture depicts though. I got a pair with red mesh lining which I prefer but this picture shows white and it's not mesh.  Do not buy if you are serious about training., March 18, 2013 This review is from: Everlast 12-Ounce Pro Style Muay Thai Gloves (Sports) I've had these gloves for about three months. The lining on the inside is already starting to rip. If plan on using your gloves frequently buy gloves that are quality. It will save you money in the long run. I wish I had not made this purchase.
